The LSU Tigers defeated North Alabama on Saturday 6-2 to win their 10th straight game. Anthony Eyanson was key part of this win with a brilliant start. It was a coming out party in Baton Rouge for the right-handed UC San Diego transfer.
Eyanson struck out 15 batters in seven innings of work. He also gave up just two earned runs, two hits, and two walks.

It was his fourth start in purple and gold and his third win of the season. Eyanson is also credited for wins against Nebraska and Purdue Fort Wayne. His season ERA is at 3.00 and he has 35 strikeouts in 24 total innings of work.
The righty also has yet to give up a home run this season.
Eyanson’s 15-strikeout performance was also close to the school record for strikeouts in a game. That record is held by Ty Floyd who struck out 17 batters during the College World Series in 2023.
LSU head coach Jay Johnson gave his thoughts on Anthony Eyanson and his performance postgame.
“When you get a pitcher that throws four pitches for strikes it is really hard to handle all of them, the plate, and a variation of timing. He did a really good job executing.”
The Tigers will look to win their 11th game in a row and complete the sweep against North Alabama on Sunday. The first pitch at Alex Box Stadium is scheduled for 2 p.m. EST.
