The USA Collegiate National Team is playing for the gold medal in the 2026 World Collegiate Baseball Championship. A 10-0 win over Korea on July 14 earned Team USA a trip to the big game on Wednesday, July 15.
USA Collegiate Team run rules Korea
A total of 10 hits and a seven-run third inning led Team USA to a win over Korea at Intercontinental Stadium in Taichung City.
Arizona State’s Landon Hairston and Cincinnati’s Derrik Pitts led the USA Collegiate National Team in hitting with two hits apiece. Hairston was one of three USA players to hit home runs in the game. Louisville’s Tauge Davis and South Carolina’s JD Stein also hit home runs in the game.
Vanderbilt’s Ryker Waite also contributed in a big way for Team USA offensively with a triple and two RBIs.
A total of eight players on the USA Collegiate National Team had hits in the win over Korea on Tuesday.
UCLA’s Wylan Moss and Oregon’s Will Sanford combined to strike out 14 batters on the mound for the USA. Moss had six strikeouts, and Sanford had eight strikeouts. They each allowed just one hit apiece and did not walk any batters.
The game ended after seven innings by way of a run rule. The USA Collegiate National Team is now 3-0 in the World Collegiate Baseball Championship in Taiwan with wins over all three opposing teams in the field.

The gold medal game of the 2026 World Collegiate Baseball Championship between the USA and Japan is at 6:30 a.m. ET. The game is at Intercontinental Stadium in Taichung City, Taiwan, and the game is available to stream on MLB.com.
Before that game, the bronze medal game of the 2026 World Collegiate Baseball Championship is between Chinese Taipei and Korea. That game is at 12:30 a.m. ET and is also available to stream on MLB.com.
