The 2027 Caribbean Series will be held Feb. 1-7 at Estadio Fernando Valenzuela in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, the Confederacion de Beisbol Profesional del Caribe announced on Thursday.
Next year’s Caribbean Series will include the champions of the professional winter leagues in Mexico, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Venezuela, as well as a guest country that the CBPC said will be announced in the coming days.
In 2026, Panama played as an invitee at the Caribbean Series, which was held in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, after the event was moved from Caracas, Venezuela due rising military tensions between Venezuela and the United States. The 2025 Caribbean Series in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, featured the Japan Breeze as a guest, though that team went 0-4 and was no-hit by Venezuela in the third ever no-hitter at a Caribbean Series and the second in as many years.
The 2024 Caribbean Series in Miami included teams representing Curacao, Nicaragua, and Panama, and the 2023 Caribbean Series in Miami included invitees from Curacao, Nicaragua, Cuba, and Panama.
The proposed schedule features two games per day at Estadio Fernando Valenzuela, which opened for the 2013 Caribbean Series and us currently undergoing renovations and improvements before hosting the annual jewel event of winter baseball. The qualifying round will run Feb. 1-5, with the semifinals on February 6, and the third-place game and final on February 7.
Tickets for the 2027 Caribbean Series will go on sale in July. Sales to tour operators will begin on Aug. 10, and general public sales will open a week later.
The 2027 Caribbean Series will be the first time the tournament to be played with a pitch clock to speed up up the pace of the games.
