Five International Players To Watch in the 2026 MLB All-Star Futures Game

Baseball’s future is taking center stage, and its brightest international stars are ready to make their mark on the game’s biggest prospect showcase.

The 2026 MLB All-Star Futures Game will showcase many of baseball’s top prospects, offering fans a glimpse of the next generation of Major League talent. While the event features elite players from across the United States, international prospects continue to play an increasingly significant role, representing baseball’s expanding global reach. From power-hitting infielders and dynamic outfielders to impact catchers, these five international standouts possess the tools to become future stars and are among the most intriguing players to watch as the Futures Game unfolds in Atlanta.

Where to Watch – The 2026 All-Star Futures Game is scheduled for noon EDT on Sunday, July 12. It will be televised live on NBC and Peacock in the United States.

5. Eduardo Quintero | OF | Los Angeles Dodgers | Mexico – Few prospects in the Futures Game possess the combination of patience, speed and defensive ability that Quintero brings to the field. The Dodgers outfielder has emerged as one of Mexico’s brightest young talents thanks to his advanced approach at the plate and ability to impact the game in multiple ways.

Quintero consistently controls the strike zone, showing exceptional pitch recognition and one of the lowest chase rates among upper-level prospects. His disciplined approach allows him to work deep counts, reach base at a high clip and create opportunities for the offense.

Once on base, Quintero becomes an immediate threat. A plus runner with outstanding instincts, he has already compiled more than 100 stolen bases during his professional career while providing above-average defense in center field. His combination of athleticism and on-base ability makes him one of the game’s most exciting young outfielders.

4. Josue Briceño | C/1B | Detroit Tigers | Venezuela – Briceño has developed into one of the premier offensive prospects in the Tigers’ organization and one of the most dangerous left-handed power hitters in the minor leagues. Although he has seen increased time at first base and designated hitter, his experience behind the plate continues to add value to his overall profile.

Standing 6-foot-6, Briceño generates impressive bat speed and consistently produces exit velocities exceeding 100 mph. His ability to drive the baseball to all fields has established him as one of the top power bats in the Futures Game.

His offensive profile extends beyond raw power. Briceño demonstrates advanced plate discipline and a mature understanding of the strike zone, limiting chase rates while working quality at-bats. Defensively, his above-average arm remains an asset from his time as a catcher, allowing him to contribute at multiple positions while enhancing his long-term value in Detroit’s organization.

3. Sebastian Walcott | SS | Texas Rangers | The Bahamas – At 6-foot-4, Walcott combines size, athleticism and elite tools to rank among baseball’s most exciting international prospects.

The Bahamian shortstop continues to impress evaluators with his rare blend of power, speed and defensive ability while remaining one of the youngest elite players in professional baseball.

His offensive upside is highlighted by immense power generated through a strong right-handed swing capable of producing exit velocities above 100 mph. Scouts project Walcott to develop into a consistent 30-home run hitter as he continues to mature.

Defensively, his plus arm, graded between 65 and 70 on the 20-80 scouting scale, allows him to make difficult throws from deep in the infield, while his athleticism gives him the versatility to excel at multiple positions. His complete skill set has many evaluators projecting him as a future Major League All-Star.

2. Josue De Paula | OF | Los Angeles Dodgers | Dominican Republic – De Paula has established himself as one of the most polished young hitters in the minor leagues, combining advanced plate discipline with emerging power and an approach that consistently produces quality at-bats.

The left-handed-hitting outfielder rarely expands the strike zone, displaying advanced pitch recognition and exceptional bat-to-ball skills. His disciplined approach has translated into high on-base percentages while keeping strikeout totals low against advanced competition.

De Paula’s power has steadily increased as he has added strength to his frame. The 6-foot- 3 outfielder now drives the baseball with greater authority to all fields and has become an increasingly dangerous run producer, particularly with runners in scoring position.

1. Jesús Made | SS | Milwaukee Brewers | Dominican Republic – Few prospects in baseball have generated as much excitement as Made, who enters the Futures Game as MLB Pipeline’s No. 1 overall prospect.

The switch-hitting shortstop possesses the complete package, combining an advanced hit tool, plus power, elite arm strength and Gold Glove-caliber defensive potential.

Made’s advanced hit tool separates him from nearly every other prospect in baseball. He consistently makes hard contact from both sides of the plate while demonstrating exceptional strike-zone awareness and bat control against all types of pitching. Beyond pure hitting, he boasts 60-grade power and speed, and possesses an arm grade of 65, previously clocking a remarkable 99.9 mph throw across the diamond.

His offensive impact extends beyond contact. Made regularly produces exit velocities above 110 mph and projects as a middle-of-the-order power hitter capable of eclipsing 25 home runs annually.

Defensively, his arm strength, clocked at more than 100 mph across the infield, paired with outstanding range and instincts, gives him the tools to remain at shortstop for years to come.

As the top-ranked prospect in baseball, Made enters the Futures Game as the international player every fan should be watching.

As the Futures Game continues to showcase baseball’s next generation of stars, these five international prospects represent the global growth of the sport and the talent pipeline shaping its future. Whether through elite power, advanced hitting ability or standout defensive skills, each player has the potential to become a difference-maker at the Major League level. Their performances in Atlanta will offer fans an early look at who could soon become household names across baseball.
