LAMP: Charros de Jalisco Stomp Navojoa 19-2, Now One Game Behind Hermosillo In Second Half

Charros de Jalisco 19, Mayos de Navojoa 2 – The Charros scored 16 runs in their final four at-bats of the game as they breezed past Navojoa to get to 13-6 in the second half, one game behind first-place Hermosillo. Eleven different batters drove in at least one run for Jalisco, which set a new league season high for runs in a game. Carlos Mendevil entered the game pinch hitting for Julian Ornelas and went 2-for-2 with a run scored and three RBIs, clubbing an RBI double in the sixth and a two-run single in the eighth.

Caneros de Los Mochis 4, Naranjeros de Hermosillo 3 – Marco Jaime went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and Yasmany Tomas drove in a run with a single to center in the third as the Caneros improved to 11-8 in the second half, three games behind Hermosillo. Darrel Torres threw five innings, allowing three runs on four hits, striking out two and walking four on his way to earning his 10th win of the season.

Yaquis de Obregon 8, Tomateros de Culiacan 5 – Odrisamer Despaigne threw seven innings, allowing two runs on five hits as the Yaquis knocked off the top team in the LAMP in the series opener. Jonathan Aranda went 2-for-4 with a walk and a grand slam in the bottom of the fourth for Obregon.

Venados de Mazatlan 3, Sultanes de Monterrey 1 – Former Atlanta Braves prospect Nolan Kingham threw six shutout innings, allowing three hits and walking one with three strikeouts to help the Venados past Monterrey. Luis Aviles Jr. went 2-for-4 with an RBI double for Mazatlan.

Aguilas de Mexicali 8, Algodoneros de Guasave 0 – Five Mexicali pitchers combined to fan 15 Guasave batters, allowing six hits, six walks, and no runs as the Aguilas climbed to one game below .500 in the second half. Ray-Patrick Didder went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in the eighth for Mexicali.

Mayos de Navojoa – Deactivated RHP Luis Villavicencio, who may be activated December 14, and added LHP Daniel Zazueta to the active roster. Retroactive to December 12, deactivated RHP Damián Mendoza, who may be activated  December 14, and added C Gilberto Vizcarra to the active roster.

Caneros de Los Mochis – Deactivated RHP Miguel Vázquez, who may be activated December 14, and added C Mario Gómez to the active roster.

Algodoneros de Guasave – Fired coach Jair Fernandez. Named Emmanuel Valdez to the coaching staff. Deactivated RHP Alejandro Cervantes, who may be activated December 14, and added RHP Victor Buelna to the active roster. Retroactive to December 9, deactivated IF Roberto Ramos, who may be activated  December 14, and added RHP Felix Cepeda to the active roster.

Venados de Mazatlan – Deactivated C Miguel Ojeda Jr., who may be activated December 14, and added RHP Óscar Rojas to the active roster.
