Diablos Rojos del Mexico (52-25) 5, Pericos de Puebla (40-35) 4 – Trevor Bauer allowed three runs on eight hits over 6 2/3 innings, striking out seven, and the Diablos survived a late rally by the Pericos to win their 12th straight game. Carlos Perez went 2-for-3 with a triple and a homer for the Reds and Carlos Sepulveda drove in two with a triple in the fifth. Samar Leyva hit a two-run homer for Puebla.
Guerreros de Oaxaca (40-36) 6, Piratas de Campeche (37-35) 4 (Game 1/Eight Innings) – Juan Santana’s 14th homer of the year scored a pair of runs in the top of the eighth, and the Guerreros held off the Piratas in the bottom of the inning to take the first game of the double header. Aristides Aquino also had a two-run dinger for Oaxaca, and Robert Dugger allowed one unearned run on five hits over five innings of work, walking one and striking out two.
Piratas de Campeche (38-35) 5, Guerreros de Oaxaca (40-37) 2 (Game 2/Seven Innings) – Jesse Castillo went 3-for-3, homered twice, scored twice, and drove in four of Campeche’s five runs to get the Piratas a split in the double header. The split of the double header, along with wins by Leon and Quintana Roo, created a four-way tie for fourth place in the Zona Sur, at least for a day, with all four teams one game back of third-place Puebla and 12 back of the Diablos.

Sultanes de Monterrey (41-35) 4, Rieleros de Aguascalientes (34-39) 3 – Harold Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored, scoring his second on a wild pitch by Luis Pacheco in the bottom of the ninth to get the Sultanes their 41st win of the year and their third in a row. Angel Reyes hit a solo homer for the Rieleros in the third.
Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos (29-48) 4, Algodoneros de Union Laguna (35-42) 2 – Cade Gotta and Jose Rodriguez each doubled twice for the Tecos, and Adrian De Horta allowed two runs on four hits, walking two and striking out three. The loss drops the Algodoneros one game out of the final playoff spot in the Zona Norte.

Bravos de Leon (40-37) 6, Leones de Yucatan (27-48) 3 – Pinch hitting for Balbino Fuenmayor in the eighth, Alan Garcia hit a bases-loaded triple as part of a four-run inning that got the Bravos past the Leones. Luis Medina hit a solo homer in the first for Leon.
Saraperos de Saltillo (30-45) 6, Charros de Jalisco (39-37) 4 – Christian Villanueva and Fernando Villegas homered in the seventh as the Saraperos scored six in the inning to get by the Charros. Jesus Cruz earned his 13th save of the year for Saltillo. Dwight Smith Jr. hit his first homer as a member of the Charros since coming to Jalisco at the deadline.

El Aguila de Veracruz (36-40) 7, Conspiradores de Queretaro (32-44) 4 – Daniel Montano and Andres Alvarez each drove in two runs as El Aguila kept their playoff hopes alive, sitting three and a half games back of the four-way tie for fourth place. Fabricio Macias hit a three-run homer and Henry Urrutia hit a solo homer for Queretaro.
Tigres de Quintana Roo (39-36) 8, Olmecas de Tabasco (44-33) 6 – Cristopher Gastelum and Calvin Estrada each hit two-run homers for the Tigres as they joined three other teams in the logjam for fourth place in the Zona Sur with the win. Manuel Boscan scored twice for the Tigres, as did Gastelum and Estrada. Seth Beer had a pair of doubles in the loss for Tabasco.

Dorados de Chihuahua (31-46) 8, Toros de Tijuana (50-24) 2 – The Dorados took down the top team in the Zona Norte to win their fourth straight and keep their slim chances of a playoff berth alive, as they now sit five games back of Aguascalientes, which holds the sixth and final playoff berth in the division. Gilberto Vizcarra went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and Jacob Rhinesmith went 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Chihuahua.
Caliente de Durango (42-34) 10, Acereros de Monclova (39-38) 5 – Seven of nine Durango starters drove in at least one run as the Caliente moved into sole possession of second place by doubling up Monclova. Webster Rivas and Elier Hernandez each drove in two runs, and eight Durango pitchers combined to hold Monclova to seven hits. Newcomer Joe Corbett allowed one hit in the seventh to earn a hold for Durango.
