Liga Mexicana de Beisbol: Leones de Yucatan Top Tigres de Quintana Roo 7-4; Trayce Thompson To Tecolotes

Leones de Yucatan (6-4) 7, Tigres de Quintana Roo (5-5) 4 – Former Major Leaguer Estevan Florial hit a three-run homer in the fifth and Dalton Guthrie hit a three-run shot of his own in the sixth as the Leones got past the Tigres in the first game of the Zona Sur’s catfight. Guthrie went 2-for-4 and scored twice, and Wynton bernard singled home an extra insurance run in the eighth.

Trayce Thompson To Dos Laredos – Former MLB outfielder Trayce Thompson has signed with the Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos. He last appeared in MLB in 2023 when played 36 games with both the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Chicago White Sox, hitting six home runs and recording 17 RBIs. In total, Thompson has played 369 games, recording 198 hits, 45 home runs and 126 RBIs.

Thompson played in 94 games with Triple-A Worcester in 2025, where he had 77 hits, 48 ​​runs scored, 44 RBIs, and 13 home runs. He played in both the 2023 and 2026 World Baseball Classic for Great Britain.
