Pericos de Puebla (31-27) 7, Guerreros de Oaxaca (33-26) – A pair of RBI singles, one from herlis Rodriguez and one from Luis Castro, and a pair of RBI doubles, one by Cristhian Adames and one by David Rodriguez, got four runs home in the top of the ninth to get the Pericos past the Guerreros. Luis Barrera hit a two-run triple for Oaxaca in the first.
Piratas de Campeche (27-30) 5, Diablos Rojos del Mexico (38-22) 3 – Abraham Almonte homered twice for the Piratas, hitting a two-run homer in the first and a solo homer in the third. A sac fly by Connor Hollis in the fourth scored Emmanuel Avila with the go-ahead run, and Cal Mitchell’s 18th double of the year scored Almonte in the fifth.
Rieleros de Aguascalientes (27-30) 7, Sultanes de Monterrey (29-29) 2 – The Rieleros scored one run in each of the first seven innings to get past Monterrey, which fell to .500 on the season with the loss, its eighth in its last 10 games. Maikel Serrano, Angel Reyes, and Matt McDermott each hit solo homers for Aguascalientes. McDermott and Matthew Batten each had three hits for the Rieleros.
El Aguila de Veracruz (26-32) 4, Bravos de Leon (32-27) 1 – Austin Shenton drove in three runs, two with a homer in the second and another with an eighth inning ground out, as El Aguila got past the Bravos on Wednesday night. Starter Tommy Romero threw five shutout innings for El Aguila, allowing three hits and two walks, striking out five.
Acereros de Monclova (30-29) 5, Caliente de Durango (31-27) 2 – Juan Mora went 3-for-4 and scored twice as the Acereros snapped a six-game losing streak. Jorge Tavarez allowed one run on four hits over seven innings for Monclova, walking one and striking out four.
Toros de Tijuana (40-18) 10, Dorados de Chihuahua (22-37) (13 Innings) – Close until it wasn’t, the Toros scored six in the top of the 13th to win for the 40th time this season. Aderlin Rodriguez hit a two-run double and Sergio Burruel hit a two-run single in the big extra inning for Tijuana. Franchy Cordero had a two-run homer for the Toros in the eighth.
