Seven different Saraperos had multiple RBIs, and former Chicago White Sox outfielder Oscar Colas had one of four Saltillo homers. Zoilo Almonte homered twice in the loss for Dos Laredos.

Pericos de Puebla (33-27) 5, Leones de Yucatan (22-38) 0 (Game 1/Seven Innings) – A pair of two-out, two-run singles, one from Moises Gomez and one from Michael De La Cruz, capped a five-run sixth inning as the Pericos shut out Yucatan in the first game of Wednesday’s doubleheader. Ronnie Williams threw five scoreless innings for Yucatan, allowing two hits, walking one, and striking out five.
Leones de Yucatan (23-38) 11, Pericos de Puebla (33-28) 5 (Game 2/Seven Innings) – Raudy Read and Jose Gaitan each hit a two-run homer for the Leones, who earned a split with a win in the second game. David Rodriguez hit a three-run homer for Puebla in the fifth.
Tigres de Quintana Roo (30-29) 5, El Aguila de Veracruz (27-33) 0 (Game 1/Seven Innings) – Alexis Wilson went 3-for-3 with three RBIs, clubbing an RBI single in the second and RBI doubles in the fourth and sixth as the Tigres took the first game. Darius Vines threw six scoreless innings, allowing three hits and a walk, striking out 10 batters for Quintana Roo.

Caliente de Durango (32-28) 9, Charros de Jalisco (33-28) 3 (Game 1/Seven Innings) – Durango scored seven unanswered runs, two in the fourth and five in the fifth, to take down Jalisco in the first game. Estevan Florial hit a solo homer in the fourth for Durango and had two RBIs, and Webster Rivas went 2-for-2 with two RBIs.
Caliente de Durango (33-28) 4, Charros de Jalisco (33-29) 3 (Game 2/Seven Innings) – Elier Hernandez’ solo homer in the fourth stood as the game-winner as the Durango swept the doubleheader, moving them a half-game ahead of Jalisco and into second place in the Zona Norte.
Algodoneros de Union Laguna (27-34) 9, Rieleros de Aguascalientes (27-32) 1 (Game 1/Seven Innings) – Eguy Rosario went 2-for-3 with a solo homer and three RBIs as the Algodoneros won new manager Ramon Santiago’s debut. Mason Martin drove in three runs for Union Laguna, getting a pair of RBIs with a sixth-inning single.
Rieleros de Aguascalientes (28-32) 8, Algodoneros de Union Laguna (27-35) 0 (Game 2/Seven Innings) – Greg Duncan allowed two hits over seven shutout innings, walking one and striking out five, and Andretty Cordero hit a three-run homer in the third as the Rieleros took the second game to split the doubleheader.
Sultanes de Monterrey (31-29) 8, Dorados de Chihuahua (23-38) 3 (Game 1/Seven Innings) – Manny Banuelos allowed one run on four hits over six innings, walking one and striking out three for Monterrey. Victor Mendoza hit a grand slam in the fourth, Josh Lester hit a two-run shot the same inning, and Socrates Brito added a solo homer for Monterrey.
Sultanes de Monterrey (32-29) 5, Dorados de Chihuahua (23-39) 4 (Game 2/Eight Innings) – An RBI double in the bottom of the eighth by Luis Santos got the Sultanes within one, and a two-out, two-run single from Jose Miranda gave Monterrey the sweep of the doubleheader.

Toros de Tijuana (42-19) 3, Acereros de Monclova (31-31) 1 (Game 1/Seven Innings) – Rafael Ortega’s two-run homer in the top of the seventh earned Tijuana win No. 42. Ortega also drove in the Toros’ first run with a single in the second. Adonis Medina allowed one run for Tijuana on seven hits over 5 1/3 innings, striking out four.
Toros de Tijuana (43-19) 4, Acereros de Monclova (31-32) 3 (Game 2/Seven Innings) – The Toros got four in the top of the sixth, two coming on RBI singles from Aderlin Rodriguez and Justin Turner, to sweep the doubleheader and extend their lead on the Zona Norte to 9 1/2 games.
Piratas de Campeche (28-30) 5, Conspiradores de Queretaro (28-33) 3 (Game 1/Seven Innings) – Andrew Stevenson’s three-run homer in the top of the fifth was the difference in the first game as the Piratas keep their playoff hopes alive.
Conspiradores de Queretaro (29-33) 5, Piratas de Campeche (28-31) 4 (Game 2/Seven Innings) – Rainel Rosario’s RBI single in the bottom of the seventh sent the Queretaro fans home happy, giving the Conspiradores a split of Wednesday’s doubleheader. Yangervis Solarte had his 16th homer of the year for Queretaro in the win.

Guerreros de Oaxaca (34-28) 6, Diablos Rojos del Mexico (39-23) 4 – Franklin Barreto hit a grand slam in the top of the seventh for the Reds, but it wasn’t enough. Juan Santana, Aristides Aquino, and Luis Barrera each hit solo homer for Oaxaca, and Mel Rojas Jr. had a double and a triple.
Bravos de Leon (33-28) 14, Olmecas de Tabasco (37-24) 4 (Game 1/Nine Innings) – A pair of RBI singles and a three-run homer by Sandber Pimentel got five runs home for Leon in the fifth. Seth Beer hit his 14th homer of the season for Tabasco in the loss, which was a completion of Tuesday’s suspended game.
Olmecas de Tabasco (37-23) 7, Bravos de Leon (32-28) 2 (Game 2/Seven Innings) – Domingo Leyba went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBIs, one on a first-inning double and another on a single in the fourth, as the Olmecas took the second game to stay just one game behind the first-place Diablos.
