Diablos Rojos del Mexico (10-6) 6, Guerreros de Oaxaca (8-5) 5 (11 Innings) – Jon Singleton’s 11th homer of the year, a solo shot in the bottom of the 11th, gave the Diablos a sweep of the Guerreros, their second consecutive extra innings win, and their fourth straight win, moving them into a tie for first place in the Zona Sur. Trailing 5-0, the Reds tied it in the bottom of the ninth, getting two-run homers from Franklin Barreto and Maikel Franco and an RBI single from Ramon Flores.
Caliente de Durango (7-8) 9, Saraperos de Saltillo (3-11) 5 – Andre Lipcius hit a two-run single in the first inning on his way to going 3-for-5 with a pair of RBIs as the Caliente sent the Saraperos to their eighth loss in their last 10 games. Juan Uriarte, Elier Hernandez, Nick Williams, and Jonathan Villar each had two hits for Durango. Cole Roederer hit a two-run triple for Saltillo.
Tigres de Quintana Roo (7-7) 3, El Aguila de Veracruz (7-7) 2 (Seven Innings/Game 1) – Phillip Ervin and Manuel Boscan combined to drive in all three Tigres runs in the third with a pair of singles, and Brady Tedesco threw 5 1/3 innings, allowing one run on one hit and three walks, striking out three.
El Aguila de Veracruz (8-7) 5, Tigres de Quintana Roo (7-8) 4 (Seven Innings/Game 2) – Roberto Valenzuela’s two-run single in the third scored Daniel Montano and Austin Shenton with the eventual game-winner as El Aguila recovered to take the second game of Sunday’s doubleheader. Montano also contributed a solo homer for El Aguila.

Piratas de Campeche (6-9) 4, Conspiradores de Queretaro (7-8) 1 – Andrew Stevenson hit a two-run homer and score on Addison Russell’s eighth-inning RBI double as the Piratas took the series finale from Queretaro. Starter Bobby Milacki threw 4 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing four hits, three walks, and striking out two.
Sultanes de Monterrey (11-5) 5, Charros de Jalisco (8-7) 2 – Javier Salazar capped a four-run fifth inning with a two-run homer for the Sultanes, who completed the sweep of the Charros with the win and kept a hold of first place in the Zona Norte. Salazar later doubled home Omar Narvaez in the seventh for another insurance run. Billy Hamilton drove in Jalisco’s first run with a single in the fifth.

Olmecas de Tabasco (4-11) 10, Bravos de Leon (10-5) 2 – Yunior Severino hit a three-run homer in the first and added an RBI single in the eight for Tabasco, and Angelo Castellano went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and scored a run as Tabasco got their fourth win of the year. Jermaine Palacios drove in both Leon runs with a homer in the seventh.
Pericos de Puebla (8-7) 3, Leones de Yucatan (7-8) 2 – Vladimir Gutierrez allowed one unearned run on three hits and a walk, striking out five over 6 1/3 innings for Puebla. Luis Castro and Samar Leyv each hit solo homers for the Pericos, who now sit two games behind division leaders Mexico and Leon.
Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos (8-7) 6, Acereros de Monclova (7-8) 4 – Zoilo Almonte’s three-run homer capped a four-run first inning, and Brandon Brennan threw five innings, allowing a run on three hits, walking one and fanning three as the Tecos climbed above .500. Alan Trejo hit a solo homer for Monclova, and Ramon Hernandez drove in two runs, one with a double in the first and another with a single in the eighth.
Dorados de Chihuahua (6-9) 19, Algodoneros de Union Laguna (6-9) 3 – Juan Yepez hit two homers, a two-run homer in the third and a solo shot in the fifth, and went 4-for-6 with four RBIs to lead the Dorados in a rout of Union Laguna. All but two of the 13 Dorados who made plate appearances recorded at least one hit, and five different Chihuahua players had multiple RBIs. And then how about this barehanded play by Dorados pitcher Nick Struck?

Toros de Tijuana (10-4) 10, Rieleros de Aguascalientes (8-7) 3 – Franchy Cordero went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and an RBI double, and Hernan Perez added a three-run homer as the Toros blew past the Rieleros to climb into second place, a half-game behind Zona Norte leading Monterrey. Maikel Serrano drove in all three runs for Aguascalientes, hitting a solo homer in the third and a two-run shot in the seventh.
