Guerreros de Oaxaca manager Roberto Vizcarra was suspended for two games after being ejected from Wednesday night’s game against the Bravos de Leon.
In the sixth inning, with Mel Rojas Jr. at the plate, the Guerreros trailing 9-7 and runners on first and second with two outs, Rojas took a 2-2 fastball on the inside corner that was called strike three by home plate umpire Marco Garibay. Rojas tapped his helmet, indicating a request for an ABS Challenge System review, but was denied by Garibay. That brought Vizcarra out of the dugout to argue Garibay’s decision, and Garibay promptly ejected Vizcarra.
