The Los Angeles Dodgers will hold an exclusive giveaway on Aug. 25. Select fans will receive a Kobe Bryant baseball jersey.

The Los Angeles Dodgers will host the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday, Aug. 25 at 1:00 p.m. A select number of fans who arrive at the stadium early will receive a Dodgers black and gold Kobe Bryant jersey. The jersey will feature Bryant’s iconic number 24 instead of his original number eight. It will have details on each sleeve, with one saying “KB” surrounded by a heart and the other being an “LA” symbol representing the city. The black design on the jersey also seems to have a snakeskin pattern to honor Kobe’s “Black Mamba” moniker that was made so famous in his career.
An LA legend, Bryant passed away tragically in January 2020. The Hall of Famer played 20 NBA seasons, all for the Lakers, averaging 25 points per game and winning five NBA championships. Bryant was an active supporter of the other Los Angeles sports teams and was often seen at Dodgers games. He even threw out the first pitch on June 27, 2000.
The Dodgers made a Kobe Bryant jersey available last year, and this new edition will be offered stadium-wide. It is expected that the first 40,000 fans inside the stadium will receive this jersey.
