LSU Remains No. 1 After First Weekend of NCAA Division I Baseball Season

After the first four days of the NCAA Division I college baseball season, the first rankings of the new season were released by D1Baseball.com.  

Opening day for all NCAA Division I schools was February 17. The defending National Champion University of Mississippi opened up against University of Delaware, and remains ranked fourth with a 3-0 record.  

Tennessee lost to Arizona on the first day of the season 3-1 and dropped their second of the game season against Grand Canyon 4-3.  

Texas Christian University moved up from No. 15 to No. 8 after going 2-1 to start the season, beating No. 10 Vanderbilt 11-4 on Friday and No. 8 Arkansas 18-6 on Saturday.  

Oklahoma State University started out on Friday at No. 9 in the nation and dropped to No. 15 at 1-2, losing to Vanderbilt on Saturday 11-9 and Arkansas 18-1.  

Following the first full week of the Division I season, the next set of NCAA rankings will be released on Monday, February 27.
