On Saturday, July 18, Brady Christman won the 2026 Cape Cod League Home Run Derby.
Christman plays for the Cotuit Kettleers in the Cape Cod League. This summer, he has 10 hits. Two out of those ten hits were doubles, and he also had a home run. Christman has also tallied eight RBIs and has drawn nine walks for Cotuit.
The catcher was one of six players who participated in the 2026 Cape Cod League Home Run Derby. The other five players were:

- Coen Niclai, Oregon State Beavers
- Junior Laukai, Georgia Bulldogs
- Jacob Lee, VCU Rams
- Bub Terrell, Auburn Tigers
Christman at Georgia Southern in 2026, transfers to Mississippi State
In 2026, the Cape Cod League Home Run Derby champion played for the Georgia Southern Eagles. He had a fantastic freshman season, winning the 2026 Sun Belt Freshman of the Year award. Christman was also first-team All-Sun Belt and a part of the Sun Belt’s All-Freshman team.
The catcher had a .384 batting average in 146 at-bats. Christman showed off some power as well with 12 home runs. He also added on 44 RBIs and had an on-base percentage of .480.
Despite having a huge season with Georgia Southern to begin his college baseball career, the Eagles did not perform well as a team. Georgia Southern finished with a 16-40 overall record and was 7-23 in Sun Belt games.
Christman entered the transfer portal. On June 6, he took to his Instagram account to announce his decision to transfer to Mississippi State.
Christman will be in Starkville playing for the Bulldogs during his sophomore season. He is a part of a transfer portal class that ranks sixth in the country, according to 64 Analytics.
