Watch the MLB London Series the Philadelphia Way

The London Series brings MLB fans from numerous different cultures worldwide together to celebrate baseball. This year’s series offers a special opportunity for one of the fan bases participating.

Former Philadelphia resident and Phillies fanatic JP Teti moved to the United Kingdom 16 years ago. Teti wanted to leave his job for an idea he had in business school. He wanted to bring Philadelphia’s culture, food, and spirit across the pond by opening a bar in London.

With that, Passyunk Avenue was born. The first location opened in 2018 and has expanded to four other locations.

With Philadelphia headed to England for the 2024 London Series, the sports bar will be a hotspot for Phillies fans this week.

Passyunk Avenue is hosting various events for Phillies fans that begin Thursday and go through the weekend. According to Teti, Philadelphia’s famous Reading Terminal Market has been recreated in London’s Waterloo neighborhood. On Sunday, a street in Central London will be shut down to throw a South-Philadelphia tailgate. Fans can also take part in a bus tour of London.

Passyunk Avenue will be brimming with Phillies fans this week as the games creep closer. Don’t be afraid, while the Philly pride shines bright, supporters of all MLB teams are welcome to come and enjoy an authentic Philly cheesesteak and experience what Philadelphia has to offer.
