TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Oklahoma State third baseman Aidan Meola suffered a broken wrist on Thursday, May 28, during the Cowboys’ batting practice at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. The news was broken by The Stillwegian’s Daniel Allen.
Meola will be out for the remainder of the Tuscaloosa regional and for the foreseeable future in the NCAA Tournament.
On Friday, May 29, Evan Saunders took Meola’s place at third base in Oklahoma State’s first regional game against the USC Upstate Spartans.
Coming into the Tuscaloosa regional, Saunders had a .231 batting average with four home runs and 13 RBIs this season. He has 52 total at-bats in 2026.
