The Copa America de Béisbol, operated by the WBSC Americas and organized by Loarte Consulting, a sports marketing firm based in Manhattan will be held from November 13-22 in host countries Panama and Mexico.

According to Fernando Rayo of 8deportivoTN8 in Nicaragua on May 27, Pool B games will be held at two Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico stadiums: Estadio Fernando Valenzuela, home of the Naranjeros de Hermosillo, and Estadio Teodoro Mariscal, home of the Venados de Mazatlán.

The venue for Group A in Panama has not yet been announced. Estadio Juan Demóstenes Arosemena and Estadio Rod Carew in Panama City, and Estadio Mariano Rivera in La Chorrera are among the stadiums under consideration.

According to Enrique Rojas of ESPN Deportes on May 26, the goal for the WBSC Americas and Loarte Consulting is to determine qualifying spots for future Olympic Games and World Baseball Classic events through this tournament.

Loarte Consulting is a sports agency specializing in Hispanic marketing and event services in the United States and Latin America.

The 12 participating nations are divided into two groups:

Group A – Venezuela, Panama, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Curaçao, and (likely) Argentina
Group B – Mexico, United States, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Nicaragua, Canada

Argentina, ranked No. 13 in the WBSC Americas and No. 33 globally, is expected to replace Brazil in Group A. Beisbol Mundo Afora reported on May 27 that Brazil will not participate due to roster overlap with its 2026 WBC plans.

Brazil is expected to skip the tournament because the national team plans to use a similar roster at the 2026 World Baseball Classic in Houston, where they will face the United States, Great Britain, Italy, and Mexico in Pool B from March 6-11.

There is no official word yet on player eligibility, but typically, MLB players are only permitted in the WBC. Rosters for this event are expected to include minor league players and athletes from professional leagues around the world.

The top three teams from each group will advance to the Super Round, which will be hosted in Mexico.

This tournament also serves as a qualifier for the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and the 2027 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru. It will act as a competitive warm-up for the 2026 WBC and marks the beginning of the road to the 2028 Olympics for teams from the Americas.
