Shohei Ohtani and Fernando Tatis Jr. Dual Bobblehead Released

Ahead of the two-game series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres, FOCO is releasing another dual bobblehead featuring two of the MLB’s brightest international stars.

The bobblehead showcases Padres Dominican-born OF Fernando Tatis Jr. wearing the Padres’ home white uniforms with brown stripes next to Dodgers Japanese-born star Shohei Ohtani in the Dodgers’ road uniforms. The two are featured standing in front of a thematic backdrop of Petco Park.

Ohtani has had an incredible season in his first year with the Dodgers. The 30-year-old Japanese phenom is batting a career-best .311 with 32 home runs and an OPS of 1.034, all best in the National League. Ohtani has continued to break records in his seventh MLB season. In a game against the Padres, Shohei wrote his name in the history books again. Ohtani stole a base in the game on Tuesday to take his total to 28 on the season. That gives him 32 home runs and 28 stolen bases before August, which had only been done once before by Alex Rodriguez in 1998

Tatis has appeared in just 80 games for the Padres this season. The 25-year-old from the Dominican Republic has battled injury this season, most recently a right femoral stress fracture that has sidelined him since late June. The two-time All-Star is batting .279 with 14 home runs in his limited appearances.

In game one of the series, the Padres stormed back from five runs down to walk-off Los Angeles in the tenth inning on a single from Donovan Solano to win 6-5. Ohtani went 0-4 with a walk and a run scored. During the game, an attendance of 47,559 was announced, the largest crowd in Petco Park history to watch the Padres, who have won eight of nine, and the Ohtani-led Dodgers.
