The Texas A&M Aggies started Southeastern Conference (SEC) play with a 2-4 record after weekend series against Oklahoma and Georgia.
Since then, the Aggies have a 10-1 record in SEC play. This has resulted in a massive rise in the SEC standings. Texas A&M sits second in the standings behind the Georgia Bulldogs, who are in first place with a 13-5 conference record.
Texas A&M’s big-time stretch of conference play
Dating back to March 27, the Aggies have series wins over the Missouri Tigers, Vanderbilt Commodores, Texas Longhorns, and LSU Tigers.
The Aggies won every game they played in the respective series against Missouri, Texas, and LSU.
Texas A&M has won six straight games as well. Their last loss came on April 7 against Texas State.
Aggies’ offense has been lethal
The Texas A&M offense has done some heavy lifting during their SEC games this season.
The Aggies rank second in the SEC in team batting average during conference play in 2026 (.283). The only team with a better batting average in conference play is Georgia. The Bulldogs have a slightly better average at .286.
Texas A&M does have the most runs scored and RBIs in conference play at 160 and 149, respectively.

The Texas A&M Aggies have a 31-7 overall record and are 12-5 in SEC play. In D1 Baseball’s most recent top 25 rankings, they come in as the seventh-best team in the country.
According to TexAgs’ Ryan Brauninger, their midweek game against UTSA on Tuesday, April 21, has been canceled due to weather.
The next SEC series for Texas A&M will begin on Friday, April 24, against the Florida Gators. That game is at Condron Family Ballpark in Gainesville, and the first pitch is at 6:30 p.m. ET.
