When Major League Baseball’s best players take the field at Citizens Bank Park on Tuesday, July 14, they will do so under a sky marking the 250th birthday of the United States — and one of the most symbolically loaded All-Star Games in the sport’s modern history.
Major League Baseball announced the full 2026 All-Star Week schedule Tuesday, confirming a five-day festival in Philadelphia built around the country’s semiquincentennial celebration. Citizens Bank Park will host its first Midsummer Classic since opening in 2004. The city itself is hosting its fifth — previously in 1943 and 1952 at Shibe Park, and in 1976 and 1996 at Veterans Stadium — placing “The Birthplace of America” back at the center of the baseball world during a landmark summer.
Start times for the week’s marquee events have not yet been announced, but the full slate is set.
The 2026 All-Star Week Schedule
Friday, July 10 — The fourth annual HBCU Swingman Classic, presented by USA Baseball, takes place at Citizens Bank Park. Ticket information is available at MLB.com. The same day, the All-Star Commissioner’s Cup and Jennie Finch Classic, presented by ARM & HAMMER, open at the Philadelphia Phillies Urban Youth Academy in FDR Park.
Saturday, July 11 — The MLB Draft begins at 1:30 p.m. ET at the Pennsylvania Convention Center Grand Hall, free and open to the public. Capital One All-Star Village opens at the Convention Center and runs through July 14, anchored by the youth-focused Capital One PLAY BALL PARK.
Sunday, July 12 — The All-Star Futures Game — traditionally one of the most internationally diverse rosters in baseball, where the sport’s next global wave gets its first major-league stage — plus the debut of MLBx All-Star 3-on-3.
Monday, July 13 — Gatorade All-Star Workout Day, followed by the T-Mobile Home Run Derby. Youth championship games for the Commissioner’s Cup and Jennie Finch Classic are held at the University of Pennsylvania.
Tuesday, July 14 — The MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard. The All-Star Red Carpet Show airs on MLB Network before first pitch; location to be announced.

The Global Roster Comes to Philadelphia
The All-Star Game has always been where Major League Baseball’s international pipeline gets its single brightest spotlight, and the 2026 edition will be no exception. With Venezuela having just captured the World Baseball Classic three weeks ago — the country’s first WBC title — the midsummer rosters are expected to reflect the sport’s global center of gravity more than at any point in recent memory. Dominican, Venezuelan, Japanese, Korean, Cuban, and Puerto Rican stars will all be in Philadelphia. The Futures Game on Sunday, July 12, will carry particular weight — it is typically the most internationally diverse roster of the week, featuring prospects from across the Caribbean, East Asia, and Europe’s developing pipelines.
The MLBx 3-on-3 Debut
The single most significant format addition to 2026 is MLBx All-Star 3-on-3 baseball, which will debut Sunday, July 12. The fast-paced, co-ed format is built around power and athleticism and unites male and female players, MLB legends, and special guests on the same rosters. It represents MLB’s most ambitious attempt yet at developing a short-form, highly shareable product aimed at younger and international audiences — the same demographic push that has driven Netflix’s Opening Night deal and Apple’s Friday Night Baseball investment.
