With the WBSC Premier12 set to take place in November, the United States has unveiled their coaching staff for this fall. The countries of Japan, Mexico, and Taiwan will host the tournament. Here is who will be on the United States coaching staff:

Manager Mike Scioscia returns to manage the United States at Premier12. He took over managing duties in 2021, leading USA to a perfect 4-0 during the WBSC Baseball America Olympic Qualifier for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. “I am looking forward to being back in the dugout as we put all of our efforts into winning a gold medal at the Premier12 tournament,” said Scioscia.

Also joining Scioscia on his coaching will be former Milwaukee Brewers manager Ron Roenicke as his bench coach, Dave Wallace will serve as pitching coach, Rick Einstein the hitting coach, Dino Ebel over as third base coach, former infielder Jemile Weeks as first base coach, former MLB reliever LaTroy Hawkins as the bullpen coach, and Carlos Muniz round out the staff as their bullpen catcher.

The WBSC Premier12 features the top 12 nations in the WBSC. The United States falls into Group A, where it will join Mexico, the Netherlands, Panama, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela. Mexico is the host city for Group A. Group B consists of Australia, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Japan, Korea, and Chinese Taipei. Both Japan and Taiwan will be the host cities for Group B.

Premier12 will begin on Nov. 9 and run until Nov. 24. There will be 30 games in total, 15 per group. After round-robin play, the top two finishers will head to the Super Round. The first and second-place teams will play for the gold medal, while the third and fourth-place teams will battle it out for the bronze medal.
