2024-25 LIDOM Playoff Round Robin Rundown

The 2024-25 Liga de Béisbol Profesional de la República Dominicana Round Robin will start on January 2 and end on January 21 before the league’s best-of-seven championship series.

The winner of the 2024-25 LIDOM season will play in the 2025 Caribbean Series from January 31 until February 7 at El Nido de los Aguilas in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico against the winners of all four leagues and one invitee with the Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacifico, Liga Venezolana de Beisbol Profesional, the Liga de Béisbol Profesional Roberto Clemente, and first-year participant, the Japan Breeze.

The four teams that made the 2024-25 LIDOM Round Robin are the Estrellas Orientales, winning the league regular season title with their record at 30-20; the Aguilas Cibaenas ended in second place at 28-22; the Tigres del Licey finished in third place at 27-22, and the Leones del Escogido snuck in fourth place at 24-25.

The Gigantes del Cibao at 22-27 finished in fifth place, and the Toros del Este at 17-32 did not qualify for the 2024-25 LIDOM Round Robin.

The Leones del Escogido won 8-3 over the Gigantes del Cibao on December 28 at home at Estadio Quisqueya Juan Marichal in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, under first-year manager and former Major League Baseball Player Albert Pujols to help them earn the final spot for the 2024-25 LIDOM Round Robin.

Pujols told multiple Dominican Republic and Caribbean media outlets in early December that he had no issue if he wanted to be dismissed from the team or how the ownership would handle the coaching staff during the final few games of the 2024-25 LIDOM season.

The Leones del Escogido had an eight-game losing streak from December 7 until December 21 before winning the final three games of the 2024-25 season to earn the fourth spot in the LIDOM Round Robin.

The league also had several reinforcements that are now joining their new teams for the LIDOM Round Robin with players from the Toros del Este and the Gigantes del Cibao.
