The 2025 Spanish Baseball League regular season, operated by the Real Federacion Española de Béisbol y Sofbol, will begin on March 22.
The Spanish Baseball League is officially known as the Liga Nacional de Béisbol División de Honor Oro.
The SBL 2025 regular season schedule is available on the RFEBS website. Games are played exclusively on weekends through early June. On Opening Day, the league will feature doubleheaders.
All 10 participating clubs—Antorcha Supply Torch, Béisbol Navarra, Astros Valencia, CB Barcelona, San Inazio, Irabia, Tenerife Marlins Puerto Cruz, Miralbueno Baseball, CBS Sant Boi, and Toros de Pamplona—have their rosters, and coaching staffs listed on RFEBs.
For all live games, fans can follow select live streams through the RFEBS YouTube page and affiliated team channels, RFEBS_YT, CBS Toros TV, and Canal Boogie.
Several players from Spain’s 2025 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers roster—who competed in February at the Taipei Dome in Taiwan—are expected to participate in the SBL season. The full WBCQ roster is available on World Baseball Classic.
Later this year, Spain will compete at the 2025 European Baseball Championship, held September 20-27 in Senago, Italy; Rotterdam, Netherlands; and Borgerhout, Belgium. Spain is the defending champion, defeating Great Britain 11-2 in the 2023 gold medal game.
However, Spain fell just short of qualifying for the 2026 World Baseball Classic, losing 6-3 to Chinese Taipei in the final qualifier on February 25. The five European nations advancing to the 2026 WBC are the Czech Republic, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands, and Great Britain, all of which also played in the 2023 edition.
The 2025 SBL season will open with doubleheaders across all games on March 22.
Spain has produced only four players who have reached Major League Baseball. Al Cabrera played for the St. Louis Cardinals in 1913. Bryan Oelkers pitched for the Minnesota Twins in 1983 and the Cleveland Indians in 1986. Al Pardo appeared with the Baltimore Orioles in 1985 and 1986 and later with the Philadelphia Phillies in 1988 and 1989. Danny Rios made his MLB debut with the New York Yankees in 1997 and later played for the Kansas City Royals in 1998.
