Pirates Prospect, San Marino Native Alessandro Ercolani Discusses Journey, Goals to Make the Big Leagues

Alessandro Ercolani, a pitching prospect with the Pirates, hails from San Marino, the world’s fifth smallest country, which is landlocked in Northern Italy.

He caught up with Chris Vaccaro to talk about his journey, goals and being an inspiration for the next generation of Italian players hoping to play professionally.

Ercolani spent 2024 in High-A with the Pirates and looks to continue progressing in the organization.
