All-Star Futures Game Rosters Announced; Features Prospects From Six Different Countries

The 2026 Futures All-Star Game rosters were announced on Wednesday morning. The annual event, which started in 1999, features dozens of the top prospects from the 30 Major League Baseball clubs. According to MLB.com’s Sam Dykstra, 38 of the 50 players are on the MLB Pipeline Top 100 prospects list.

Players from six different countries and territories (Canada, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Taiwan, the United States, Venezuela) will compete in the seven-inning game.

Up until 2019, the event followed a USA vs. World format. Since then, representatives from the American League and National League square off.

This year’s game will be played at 12 p.m. EDT on Sunday, July 12, at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

Major League Baseball has slightly deadened its baseballs amid a years-long surge in home runs. MLB anticipates the changes will be subtle, and a memo to teams last week cites an independent lab that found the new balls will fly 1 to 2 feet shorter on balls hit over 375 feet.
