More exciting news from Baseball United was announced today. They will be building the Middle East’s first-ever Professional ballpark, which will be located in Dubai. It will be the first professional baseball field in the history of the Middle East and South Asia.

It will not only be the first ballpark in the UAE and GCC but also the only professional baseball ground across a territory ranging from Morocco in North Africa to India, Bangladesh, and several countries in Southwest Asia. The ballpark is planned to be constructed within The Sevens sports and entertainment complex, a short drive from downtown Dubai.

In the meantime, the ballpark will be called Baseball United Ballpark. Naming rights negotiations are still in discussion. The new field will feature a dual-fiber synthetic turf playing surface. The LED lighting system will power more than 15 million lumens across eight lighting towers. There will be space for up to 6,500 fans.

The ballpark will also feature above-ground dugouts, foul lines, and foul poles with a professional-grade netting system. The new ballpark will also feature a traditional scoreboard modeled after 19th-century professional baseball games. There will also be four different seating sections, which include the ultra-premium Diamond Club, optimal sight-line infield boxes, value-priced outfield boxes, and Baseball United’s signature VVIP On-Field Cabanas.

It is also worth mentioning the ballpark’s dimensions were modeled after Yankee Stadium. The fences measure 318 feet to left field, 314 feet to right field, and 408 feet to center field.

The playing field will be named after Cincinnati Reds Hall of Famer and Baseball United Co-Founder and Board Member Barry Larkin. Larkin teamed up with CEO Kash Shaikh, John Miedrich, and Mariano Rivera to create Baseball United. He stated how excited he is to step on that field later in the year.

Field construction is slated to begin this week, with the field expected to be ready by the end of the year. Baseball United’s first two events next year, the Baseball United Cup and Baseball United Season One, will occur at the new ballpark. It is possible that Baseball United could host its Arab Classic national team event at the new ballpark this November during the final stages of construction.
