Caribbean Cup Schedule Revised After Two Days of Rainouts

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – Games in the 5th Caribbean Cup were rained out Tuesday at Parque Beisbol Doble-A Emilio Huyuke in Las Piedras and then again on Wednesday at Estadio Concepcion Perez Alberto in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. 

The rained -out games have been rescheduled, and a full schedule for the remaining games of the Caribbean Cup are below this article.

Cuba, ranked No. 8 in the world, is 1-0 after beating No. 64-ranked United States Virgin Islands on Monday 11-1 in six innings due to the mercy rule. 

World No. 27 Curacao beat 13th-ranked Puerto Rico, the host, 3-0 with a combined no hitter from starting pitcher Arlison Rodriguez and relief pitcher Nigel Caimes in six innings in a game shortened by rain on the first day of the Caribbean Cup. 

All games of the 5th Caribbean Cup are seven innings, and Total Quality Balance will be used for breaking ties in the standings.

The format of the original schedule with all nations playing each other twice during the pool round will not take place due to two straight days of rain outs.  

All of the remaining pool round games will be starting at 1 p.m. EDT and 4 p.m. EDT and will be streaming on https://r1live.com/ with a paid subscription service.
