Panama has released the full 27-man roster for the 2023 Caribbean Series in Venezuela. The team will carry 14 pitchers, four catchers, five infielders, and four outfielders. Panama will be managed by Jose Mayorga, who played six seasons in the Philadelphia Phillies organization from 2010 to 2016. At 30 years of age, he will be the youngest manager in the Caribbean Series.
Federales de Chiriquí swept Atlánticos de Boca del Toro three games to none in a best-of-five series to advance to the Caribbean Series. With the win, Mayorga became the youngest manager to win a Panamanian Probeis league championship.
Panama will play their first game of the series tomorrow, February 2, at 8 p.m. against Venezuela. The game will be played at La Rinconada stadium in Caracas, Venezuela.
