Central American and Caribbean Games Schedule Released

The road to a Central American and Caribbean Games gold medal is officially set.

The official schedule for the men’s baseball tournament at the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games has been released, with competition set to take place from July 31 through Aug. 7 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The tournament will feature eight national teams competing for the regional championship as part of the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games. The games will be hosted at the historic Estadio Quisqueya Juan Marichal.

Group play opens on Friday, July 31, with four games scheduled to begin the tournament. Each nation will play one game per day during the opening round as teams battle for positioning in the standings and a berth in the medal round. Opening night is highlighted by a highly anticipated clash between Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.

Baseball holds a special place throughout the Caribbean, and the atmosphere in Santo Domingo is expected to reflect that. Packed crowds, nonstop chants and the energy of passionate fans should create the most electric settings of the baseball calendar.

The preliminary round continues Aug. 1 through Aug. 4, with a full slate of group-stage matchups each day. By the end of the preliminary round, the top teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage, while the remaining teams move into placement games to determine the final standings.

The tournament shifts to the semifinals on Aug. 6, where the four remaining teams will compete for a place in the gold medal game. The semifinal winners will advance to the championship, while the losing teams will meet in the bronze medal game.

The tournament concludes on Friday, Aug. 7, with both the bronze medal game and the gold medal game, crowning the Central American and Caribbean champion before the Games continue through Aug. 8.

This schedule gives every participating nation four preliminary-round games before the tournament transitions into the single-elimination medal round, setting the stage for one of the premier international baseball competitions in the region.

With the schedule now in place, the countdown to first pitch has officially begun. Between fierce regional rivalries and one of baseball’s most passionate fan bases, the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games are set to deliver a memorable week of competition in Santo Domingo.
