The Federashon di Beisbòl di Kòrsou announced their provisional roster for their international events.
The Curacao provisional roster will be made up of all their players who played in the 2024 Curacao National Championship AA and A regular season.
Curacao operates their Rookie League, A, and AA level during the spring-summer.
The president of FEBEKO is Jedrek Magdalena.
Magdalena has not yet named the managers for Curacao for any of the three international events the nation is participating in.
Hainley Statia, Carlos Pineda, Ghionelo Jansen, Gustavo de Jongh, Jhontan Fereirra, Sorick Liberia, Franklin Confesor, Quincy Martina, Jeremy Lucas, and Richinel Eloenora are the labeled coaches for any of the three events Curacao is playing in.
Curacao will participate in the Serie Internacional event against the Vaqueros de Monteria of the Liga Profesional de Beisbol Colombia for a three-game exhibition series from October 18-20 at Estadio 18 de Junio in Monteria, Colombia.
Curacao will also participate in the second edition of the Kingdom Series in Aruba from October 29 to November 5. They will play a few exhibition games against the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Team Bonaire/St. Maarten, and host nation Aruba at Nadi Croes Crismo Angela Ballpark in Rooi Bosal, Oranjestad, Aruba.
The first edition of the Kingdom Series was played at Tio Daou Ballpark in Willemstad, Curacao, in the fall of 2022, with the Kingdom of Netherlands playing a series of exhibition games against the Santa Marta Pirates of the CNC AA league, Team Bonaire, and Aruba prior to the country playing at the 2023 World Baseball Classic.
Curacao will also play at the 2024 Caribbean Cup, which will be held from October 23 to 28 at Andre Rodgers Stadium in the Bahamas.
Cuba won their first Caribbean Cup gold medal in 2023 and beat Curacao in the gold medal game 3-1 at Estadio Concepción Pérez Alberto in Fajardo, Puerto Rico.
All three events will evaluate how the rosters will be made for the 2024-25 Curacao Professional Baseball League regular season.
FEBEKO has not yet announced the start dates for the 2024-25 CPB league regular season.
The winner of the 2024-25 CPB regular season will participate at the Asocian De Beisbol De Las Americas event will be from January 23-31, 2025 and will play in three venues in Nicaragua at Estadio Nacional Soberania in Managua, the Estadio Roberto Clemente in Masaya, and the Estadio Rigoberto Perez in Leon.
The 2024-25 Cuban Elite League regular season winner will be represented at the 2025 ABAM tournament.
All the other leagues in Argentina, Colombia, Panama, and Nicaragua will be in the field of the 2025 ABAM event. They will represent the winners of their leagues to play in the tournament during the 2024-25 winter league season.
The 2024-25 CPB league regular season winner will not participate in the 2025 Caribbean Series in Mexicali, Mexico.
General Information of 2024 Caribbean Cup In Bahamas:
The 2024 Caribbean Cup, to be held at Andre Rodgers Stadium in Nassau, Bahamas, from October 23 to 28, was officially announced at the Bahamas Baseball Association and the Confederacion del Caribe de Beisbol press conference on September 20.
Host nations Bahamas, Cuba, St. Maarten, Curacao, Dominican Republic, and the United States Virgin Islands will participate in the 2024 Caribbean Cup at Andre Rodgers Stadium.
The 2024 Caribbean Cup will impact the World Baseball Rankings from the World Baseball Softball Confederation.
COCABE has not yet announced whether the 2024 Caribbean Cup games will be seven innings or nine innings.
The Cuban national team will consist of young players who have played in prior age group events and have also played in the Serie Nacional and Elite League. This is due to the 2024 Premier12 tournament, operated by the World Baseball Softball Confederation, taking place from November 9 to 24.
The Federacion Cubana de Beisbol is aiming to start the 2024-25 Elite League winter regular season after the Premier12 event.
COCABE is part of the WBSC Americas sector and operates the Caribbean Cup annually.
COCABE announced the schedule on September 11 for the 2024 Caribbean Cup.
The Bahamas last hosted the 2022 Caribbean Cup in December, the first event at Andre Rodgers Stadium.
BBA President Samuel E. Rodgers Sr., Vice President Joseph Moss, and Secretary General Theodore Sweeting were big parts of organizing the event, negotiating its location, and finalizing the process to have the 2024 Caribbean Cup under the approval of the Secretary General of COCABE, Manuel Frias.
Zane Lightbourne, Minister of State for the Environment, Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture Mario Bowle, and Prime Minister Phillip Davis were also in attendance on September 20 at Andre Rodgers Stadium.
Sint Maarten Baseball-Softball Federation will participate in an international senior event for the first time at the 2024 Caribbean Cup.
The SMBSF is a WBSC Provisional Member, the governing body of the sports Americas sector, in its first year as an operating federation under President Austin Helliger. St. Maarten is not ranked in the WBSC’s World Baseball Rankings.
The 2024 Caribbean Cup will have all games at Andre Rodgers Stadium. The opening ceremony for the 2024 Caribbean Cup on October 23 at 7:00 p.m. EDT after the Dominican Republic play Curacao at 3 p.m. EDT.
There are 15 games scheduled during the seven days at the 2024 Caribbean at Andre Rodgers Stadium.
Cuba is ranked No. 9 in the WBSC rankings, and in the WBSC Americas, they are No. 5.
