Diablos Rojos del Mexico manager Lorenzo Bundy was suspended for two games and fined. by the Liga Mexicana de Beisbol after a heated confrontation with umpires in the Diablos’ 8-7 win against Puebla on April 11.
“The manager of the Diablos Rojos engaged in unsportsmanlike conduct and made contact with the umpire’s visor on at least two occasions,” the LMB said in a statement announcing the suspension.

Bundy began serving the suspension Friday night and is expected to be in uniform for the Diablos’ home opener at Estadio Alfredo Harp Helu on Monday, when former National League Cy Young Award winner Trevor Bauer is expected to make his LMB debut.
A native of Virginia, Bundy played for the Diablos Rojos from 1985-87 before pursuing a career as a manager and coach. He’s managed 14 seasons in affiliated baseball, leading teams in the Montreal Expos, Florida Marlins, New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Chicago White Sox organization
The Diablos Rojos (2-0) finish their season-opening series against the Pericos de Puebla (0-2) on Saturday at 8 p.m. EDT at Estadio Hermanos Serdan.
