Final Regular Season NCAA Top 25 Rankings

The Top 25 NCAA Division I Rankings were released on May 20 from D1 Baseball.com, with the University of Tennessee holding the 1. spot for the third straight. These are the final rankings of the regular season,

Tennessee (46-10) went 4-0, beating Belmont and sweeping a three-game series against last week’s No. 24 South Carolina in Knoxville. South Carolina (33-21) was the only team to drop out of the Top 25 NCAA Division 1 Rankings. 

After not being ranked last week, the University of Southern Mississippi (37-18) is at No.25.

The teams in the top five remained the same with some juggling between the No.3-No.5 spots.

Kentucky (39-12) remained in the No.2 spot after sweeping a three-game series with Vanderbilt in Lexington. 

Clemson (40-13) moved up one spot from No.4 to No.3, after going 3-0 against Boston College in Clemson. 

Texas A&M (44-11) moved from No.5 to No.4 after going 2-1 in a three-game series with last week’s No.3 Arkansas in College Station. Arkansas (43-12) dropped two spots to No.5. 

Oklahoma (34-18) moved up four spots from No.12 to No.8, after going 2-1 against the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati. 

East Carolina (40-13) also moved up four spots from No.13 to No.9, after sweeping a three-game series against Rice in Greenville.    

UC Santa Barbara (39-12) had the most significant rise in the rankings, going up nine spots from No.22 to No.13. They went 4-0, beating Saint Marys and sweeping California State University, Northridge in Los Angeles. 

Wake Forest (36-19) had the most significant drop in the rankings, moving down 14 spots from No.8 to No.22. They got swept in a three-game series against last week’s No.17 NC State in Raleigh. 

Conference Tournaments will begin on Tuesday, May 21, with the ACC, Big 12, Pac 12, SEC, Big 10, and other conferences. The winners of these conference tournaments will receive automatic bids to the Division I Baseball Championship.
