Florida State Seminoles to Play Auburn and Alabama in Fall Exhibitions

The Florida State Seminoles have offered college baseball two intriguing matchups for upcoming fall exhibitions in October. Both Auburn and Alabama will make trips down south to Florida for some exhibition games against Florida State. The Seminoles had a great 2024 season after getting to the College World Series and losing twice to the national champion Tennessee Volunteers.

Head coach Link Jarrett has rebuilt a golden standard for one of college baseball’s golden programs, and this exhibition schedule is a way for Florida State to get prepared to have a similar season in 2025.

On Saturday, Oct. 12, Auburn and Florida State will travel for a neutral site game at Blue Wahoo Stadium in Pensacola, Fla. The ballpark is normally home to the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, the Double-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins. Auburn offers a very good challenge for Florida State.

Despite a disappointing 2024 season, the Tigers’ head coach Butch Thompson brings in a top-five transfer portal class on a team that looks to regain its competitiveness this season. The first pitch between the two teams will be at 1 p.m. E.T.

The Alabama Crimson Tide will travel to Tallahassee to play the Seminoles in an exhibition on Saturday, Oct. 26. This time, Florida State will have a scrimmage in front of their home crowd at Dick Howser Stadium.

Alabama has recently played in Tallahassee. They were the two-seed in the Tallahassee regional during the 2024 NCAA tournament. Losses to UCF and Stetson during the regional made their season come to an end. However, the Crimson Tide finished with a 33-24 overall record. It was their sixth straight season finishing above .500. The first pitch time for this exhibition is at noon E.T.

These exhibitions will be something to keep an eye on since the Seminoles are now hunting a national championship after what they did a season ago.
