No. 1 – Hanshin Kōshien Stadium, Nishinomiya, Japan – Opened in 1924, Hanshin Kōshien Stadium is one of the most iconic ballparks in the world and the spiritual home of Japanese baseball. Located in Nishinomiya, the stadium has been home to the Hanshin Tigers since 1936 and continues to represent nearly a century of baseball tradition.
Modeled after New York City’s historic Polo Grounds, Kōshien features a distinctive all-dirt infield, ivy-covered outfield walls and a seating capacity of 47,000. The stadium welcomed American legends Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig during their 1934 tour of Japan, helping strengthen baseball’s growing international ties.
Beyond professional baseball, Kōshien is known as the “Mecca of High School Baseball.” Every spring and summer, Japan’s top high school teams compete in nationally televised single-elimination tournaments that captivate millions of fans. For many players, reaching Kōshien is considered the ultimate achievement of amateur baseball.
One of the stadium’s most emotional traditions occurs after elimination, when players collect handfuls of the famous dark infield dirt as a keepsake of their journey. The stadium has also become a cultural icon, appearing in popular baseball manga and anime series such as Ace of Diamond, Cross Game, and Touch.
While Kōshien celebrates baseball’s rich traditions, Japan’s other iconic venue represents the modern face of the sport.

No. 2 – Tokyo Dome, Tokyo, Japan – Since opening in 1988, Tokyo Dome has become one of Asia’s premier baseball venues. Nicknamed “The Big Egg” for its air-supported roof, the stadium is home to the Yomiuri Giants, Japan’s most successful professional franchise.
The dome seats approximately 43,500 fans for baseball and is so expansive that comparisons to the Tokyo Dome are a common for measuring the size of large buildings and developments.
The atmosphere inside the stadium is among the best in international baseball. Fans perform synchronized chants throughout the game, while every Giants player has a unique fight song sung by thousands of supporters, creating one of the sport’s most recognizable game-day experiences in Japan.

No. 3 – Estadio Monumental Simón Bolívar, Caracas, Venezuela – Across the Pacific, Venezuela has embraced baseball with one of the newest and largest stadiums in the sport.
Opened in 2023, Estadio Monumental Simón Bolívar is South America’s largest baseball stadium and one of the region’s most modern sporting venues. Located in Caracas, the 40,000-seat facility serves as the home of the Leones del Caracas and honors Venezuelan military and political leader Simón Bolívar.
Built to host major international events, the stadium features one of Latin America’s largest LED scoreboards. It quickly gained global attention by hosting the 2023 Caribbean Series, where record-breaking crowds showcased Venezuela’s passion for baseball and reestablished the country as a premier international host.
The stadium has welcomed stars including David Ortiz, Robinson Canó, José Reyes and Ronald Acuña Jr., while also serving as the home of the innovative Liga Monumental de Béisbol, which brings professional baseball to fans during the offseason.
Beyond baseball, the venue regularly hosts concerts and large entertainment events, making it one of Venezuela’s most modern cultural destinations.

No. 4 – Taipei Dome, Taipei City, Taiwan – Opened in December 2023, the Taipei Dome became Taiwan’s first fully enclosed professional baseball stadium. Located in Taipei’s Xinyi District, the $1.15 billion facility seats more than 40,000 fans for baseball and has quickly become one of the country’s premier sports venues.
Although it is not home to a single franchise, clubs including the Wei Chuan Dragons and CTBC Brothers regularly host marquee games there. The stadium has also hosted the CPBL All-Star Game each year since 2024 and welcomed international exhibitions featuring Nippon Professional Baseball clubs.
The indoor environment creates a unique fan experience, with chanting, coordinated dances and energetic cheering sections filling the stadium throughout every game.The artificial turf also produces faster ground balls, rewarding quick defensive play.
