All 30 Major League Baseball teams take the field Saturday, July 4, 2026, as the sport anchors America’s Independence Day — this year the nation’s 250th. From morning baseball in the nation’s capital to a late-night showdown in Los Angeles, fans will have games to watch from coast to coast throughout the holiday. Here’s how to watch the national windows, plus the All-Star reveal that caps the night.
The Main Event: FOX’s Primetime Doubleheader
FOX’s “Baseball Night in America” headlines the holiday with two of the sport’s oldest rivalries, both games airing nationally on FOX beginning at 8:08 p.m. EDT.
- Mets at Braves — 8:08 p.m. ET (FOX): A renewal of the NL East’s fiercest rivalry, under the lights in Atlanta as the Braves try to hold their division grip.

- Cardinals at Cubs — 8:08 p.m. ET (FOX): One of baseball’s oldest rivalries adds a chapter at Wrigley Field, two NL Central clubs with postseason eyes.

Coverage is regional — you’ll get either Cardinals-Cubs or Mets-Braves depending on your market.
The Nightcap
- Padres at Dodgers — 10:10 p.m. ET: The night concludes with the Padres visiting the Dodgers, airing locally while also serving as Peacock’s featured Game of the Day. A possible postseason preview between NL contenders.

Earlier National & Notable Windows
- Pirates at Nationals — 11:05 a.m. ET: Holiday morning baseball in D.C.
- Twins at Yankees — 1:35 p.m. ET: A holiday matinee at Yankee Stadium, on YES Network, Twins TV, and MLB Network in select markets.
Every other club is in action across the afternoon and evening on regional sports networks — the full 30-team slate includes Phillies-Royals, Giants-Rockies, Red Sox-Angels, Brewers-Diamondbacks, and Marlins-Athletics.
How to Stream
The FOX primetime games stream on FOX One, the FOX Sports App, and participating live TV streaming services that carry FOX. The Padres-Dodgers nightcap is Peacock’s featured game. Out-of-market local broadcasts are available on MLB.TV.
Stick Around: The All-Star Selection Show
Between the day games and the primetime doubleheader, the 2026 MLB All-Star Selection Show airs at 7:30 p.m. ET on FOX, revealing the pitchers and reserves for the July 14 Midsummer Classic at Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park. Two starters are already locked: Shohei Ohtani won the National League’s top overall vote and takes the DH spot, while Ernie Clement led the American League and starts at second base. Watch for tight Phase 2 races — Bobby Witt Jr. and Junior Caminero in the AL, Ozzie Albies and CJ Abrams in the NL.
One note for baseball fans: NBC’s “Star-Spangled Sunday” follows July 5, broadcasting every game across NBC, Peacock, and its platforms with no blackouts, kicking off at 12:30 p.m. ET with Mets-Braves. So the holiday baseball doesn’t stop on the 4th.
All times ET and subject to change. Check local listings for regional coverage.
