Oklahoma Sooners switch-hitter Jaxon Willits has been one of the best players in Omaha during the 2026 College World Series. In two wins for Oklahoma over Alabama and Georgia, Willits has five hits and three RBIs.
He had a big moment in the Sooners’ 4-3 win over the Georgia Bulldogs on Monday when he hit a two-run home run. That home run gave Oklahoma a quick start and a quick lead on a lethal Georgia team that has possibly college baseball’s best offense.

Willits in 2026 with Oklahoma
Willits came off a solid 2025 college baseball season in Norman and has put together a great 2026 college baseball season as well. He has a .302 batting average, a .400 on-base percentage, 15 doubles, seven home runs, and 51 RBIs.
Willits has put together a good performance in the College World Series so far, but he was also a big-time performer in the Atlanta regional. In two games during the Atlanta regional final against Georgia Tech, Willits had five hits, two RBIs, two doubles, and a home run. He played a pivotal part in the Sooners taking down the number two national seed and a national title front-runner.
In the field, Willits has put together his best collegiate season defensively. The shortstop has a career-best .975 fielding percentage with 88 putouts and 142 assists. He has been a major part of Oklahoma’s infield this year as the Sooners are one of the best teams in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and the country at turning double plays.
Up next for Oklahoma
