The first full MLB day after the trade deadline provided fans with some exciting games. Here’s everything you missed from yesterday in the MLB.

Guardians 5 Tigers 0

  • A day after Jose Ramirez tied Albert Belle for the second most home runs in Cleveland history, Ramirez homered again to take sole possession of second place with 243. The Guardians won both games of the short two-game series and pushed their win streak to end July with the best record in the AL at 65-42.

Orioles 6 Blue Jays 2

  • Corbin Burnes allowed two runs in six and two-thirds to help Baltimore past the depleted Blue Jays. The Orioles got home runs from Ramon Urias and Anthony Santander to win their third game in the last four and remain in front of the Yankees in the AL East.

Yankees 7 Phillies 6

  • Newly acquired outfielder Jazz Chisholm homered twice for the second straight game and drove in five RBIs for the Yankees, who outlasted Philadelphia. Gleyber Torres drove in the go-ahead run on a sacrifice fly in the 12th inning. New York won its fourth straight game for the first time since early June. The Phillies have lost five of six after dropping game two of the series.

Rays 9 Marlins 3

  • Tampa Bay pushed their win streak to three thanks to a home run from Christopher Morel in his Rays debut. Jeffrey Springs made his first start for the Rays since April 2023 after returning from Tommy John surgery. He pitched three and two-thirds. The Rays are three games over .500 for the first time in two months and sit just three and a half games out of the final wildcard spot.

Mets 2 Twins 0

  • Sean Manaea struck out a season-high 11 batters and helped lead the Mets to their third shutout of the year. New York has won seven of ten and is in the second wildcard spot in the NL.

Mariners 10 Red Sox 6

  • Seattle scored five runs in the fifth to propel them to their fourth win in the last five. Newly acquired players Justin Turner and Randy Arozarena drove in runs for the Mariners, who regained the lead in the AL West. Boston has lost three of four and is two games out of the final wildcard spot.

Reds 6 Cubs 3

  • Santiago Espinal homered in the second to extend his hit streak to ten games and helped the Reds jump out to an early lead. Cincinnati took the first two games of the series against Chicago and is four and a half games out of wildcard position in the NL.

Cardinals 8 Rangers 1

  • Tommy Pham hit a pinch-hit grand slam in his first game back with the Cardinals after being traded on Monday. Max Scherzer only lasted four innings, and the Rangers lost for the fourth time in five games. St. Louis remained in the wildcard hunt, just one and a half games back from the final spot.

Pirates 6 Astros 2

  • Pirates pitching allowed ten hits but only surrendered two runs to extend their winning streak to three games. Michael Taylor homered for the second straight game to lead the charge offensively for Pittsburgh.

Royals 4 White Sox 3

  • Bobby Witt singled to start a three-run eighth-inning rally for Kansas City, extending the White Sox’s losing streak to 16 games. The Royals squeezed out the win and remain in the third wildcard spot, two games above the Red Sox.

Braves 5 Brewers 1

  • The Braves scored four runs in the third to jump out to a lead they would not surrender. Bryce Elder allowed the lone Milwaukee run in six and a third innings of work, striking out seven. Atlanta has won three of four and owns the top spot in the NL wildcard race.

Angels 10 Rockies 7

  • Matt Thais drove in a career-high five runs, and Jo Adell hit the go-ahead home run in the seventh for the Angels to push Colorado’s losing streak to four games. Thais also stole two bases in the game and became just the second catcher in MLB history to accomplish that feat.

Diamondbacks 17 Nationals 0

  • Arizona won for the sixth time in seven games after tying a team record with 22 hits against the Nats. Eugenio Suarez hit three home runs to lead the charge for the Diamondbacks, who are a half-game out of the final wildcard spot.

Padres 6 Dodgers 5

  • Donovan Solano pinch-hit in the tenth and singled with the bases loaded to walk off the Dodgers and help the Padres win their eighth game in the last ten. Manny Machado homered twice to lead San Diego’s comeback.

A’s 5 Giants 2

  • Oakland hit four homers to beat the Giants and has won eight of the last eleven. JP Sears pitched seven scoreless innings for the A’s and struck out nine. With a win on Wednesday, the A’s could win five straight series.
