The LG Twins offense finally kicked into gear in Game Two of the Semi-Playoff with seven unanswered runs to help erase an early deficit and even the series in the KBO Playoffs with the KT Wiz at one game apiece. The Wiz won Game One of the series by a score of 3-2, but this loss snapped the Wiz’s eight-game winning streak. The Twins put a much needed well rounded game together while the Wiz allowed seven runs, which exceeds their combined total from the last four games.
The Wiz opened the game much like they did in Game One, jumping out to an early 2-0 lead thanks to an RBI single from Hwang Jae-gyun and a sacrifice fly from Kang Baek-ho. The Twins struck right back in the bottom of the third, as three singles, two steals, and a groundout combined to net them two runs and even the score. They tallied two more in the fourth when Park Dong-won split the left-center gap with an RBI double and scored on a Moon Sung-ju single.

The offensive surge helped Twins starter Im Chan-kyu settle in. After a rocky start, the veteran right-hander tossed 5 1/3 innings, allowing just one earned run and striking out five in the process.
The Twins then broke the game open with three more runs on a bases-loaded single in the sixth by Shin Min-jae and a misplay by Wiz left fielder Kim Min-hyuck. That misplay was one of four errors that the Wiz made on the day. The Twins bullpen finished things off from there, shutting down the Wiz bats with 3 2/3 scoreless innings.

The best-of-five series will now shift to KT Wiz Park in Suwon for Games Three and Four. The Wiz will look to get back on track with left-hander Wes Benjamin, who is coming off his best start of the season in which he blanked the Doosan Bears over seven innings to clinch the Wild-Card Series. The Twins, meanwhile, will turn to right-hander Choi Won-tae. The 27-year-old won nine games and posted a 4.26 ERA in 24 appearances this season.
First pitch from Suwon will be on Tuesday, at 5:30 EST, to see which team will take the series lead in Game Three of the KBO Semi-Playoff.
