After a record-setting campaign in 2024, Choi Jeong re-signed with the SSG Landers on a four-year contract for 11 billion won. The contract will likely keep the 37-year-old Choi with the Landers for the remainder of his career.
Choi is coming off his best season since joining the Landers in 2021. The third baseman totaled 37 home runs and drove in 107 runs, both of which were his highest since his 2017 season with the SK Wyverns. His home run on April 24 was particularly special, as he passed Seung-yuop Lee for the most in KBO history.

Choi will once again be the center of attention in 2025, as he enters the season just five home runs short of reaching 500 for his career.
