KBO’s 2024 Season Will Start March 23, End In October to Accomodate WBSC Premier 12

The Yonhap News Agency reported that the KBO League’s 2024 regular season will begin March 23, with the top five teams from the 2023 season hosting games on opening day.

Ten teams will each play 144 games in the regular season, and the league’s All-Star Game will be played July 6 during a four-day midseason break.

The defending champion LG Twins will open the season at home against the Hanwha Eagles on March 23 at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul. The SSG Landers will host the Lotte Giants, the KT Wiz will host the Samsung Lions, the Kia Tigers will host the Kiwoom Heroes, and the NC Dinos will host the Doosan Bears on opening day.

The teams of the KBO will play 134 of the season’s games through Aug. 29, with the remaining 10 games and any makeup games necessary played in September.
