LAMP: Hamilton Steals Home and Three Total Bags in Charros de Jalisco’s 12-4 Win

Charros de Jalisco 12, Sultanes de Monterrey 4 – Billy Hamilton stole home in the first and second and third later in the game, and Jalisco got solo homers from Carlos Mendivil, Tirso Ornelas, and Reynaldo Rodriguez in Tuesday’s win. Jack Mayfield went 1-for-3 with three RBIs, hitting a sac fly in the fourth and a two-run single in the fifth. The Sultanes fell to 6-15 and are tied for ninth with Mazatlan at 6-15.

Aguilas de Mexicali 3, Tomateros de Culiacan 2 – Moises Gutierrez tied the game with his third homer of the year, a solo shot in the second, and the Aguilas (13-7) got a pair in the fourth from Wynton Bernard’s two-run triple to beat the Tomateros. Culiacan mustered just five hits and drew eight walks, but stranded eight runners on the bases and went 2-for-7 with runners in scoring position.

Caneros de Los Mochis 6, Venados de Mazatlan 1 – Alejandro Urias, Brayan Mendoza, and Kyle Martin each contributed two-run singles as the Caneros improved to 14-7. Nick Struck allowed one run on three hits over five innings for Los Mochis, walking two and striking out two.

Naranjeros de Hermosillo 4, Algodoneros de Guasave 2 – Nicolas Torres had a solo homer and an RBI double for the Naranjeros (12-9), and  Jordan Diaz chipped in an RBI single. Starter Wilmer Rios allowed two runs on seven hits over six innings, striking out three and walking one.

Yaquis de Obregon 15, Mayos de Navojoa 8 – The Yaquis (9-11) exploded for 15 runs, getting six in the second and five in the seventh along with solo homers from Jose Carlos Urena and Juan Carlos Gamboa. Roberto Valenzuela went 4-for-6 with four RBIs, and Gabriel Gutierrez went 2-for-4 with three RBIs for Obregon. Miguel Guzman went 3-for-4 for Navojoa, scoring three runs and driving in two for Navojoa, which fell to 9-12.

Retroactive to November 2, deactivated IF Jonathan Arauz, who may be activated  November 7, and added IF Kennys Vargas to the active roster. Mayos de Navojoa – Retroactive to October 14, deactivated IF Edgar Lugo, who may be activated November 6, and added RHP Damián Mendoza to the active roster.
