Sultanes de Monterrey 5, Algodoneros de Gonsave 4: Sultanes de Monterrey extended their playoff series behind a three-hit, two RBI performance by shortstop Roberto Valenzuela. Starter Carlos Viera went five innings for Monterrey, allowing four hits and a run, while Joe Riley earned his 15th save of the year. Riley has spent most of his career in independent ball and became a closer with Sultanes. Algodoneros leads the series two games to one.

Mayos de Navojoa 3, Caneros de Mochis 0: Seven pitchers combined to scatter five hits for Mayos and shortstop Olmo Rosario’s fourth-inning solo homer to left-center was enough for the win. Caneros leads the series three games to one.

Aguilas Mexicali 2, Yaquis de Obregon 0: Starter Miguel Pena threw seven scoreless innings, allowing three hits and striking out one, as Aguilas tied their playoff series with Yaquis at two games apiece.
