Tomateros de Culiacan 7, Charros de Jalisco 3 – Joey Meneses hit a grand slam in the third to give the Tomateros the lead, and Rudy Martin went 4-for-5 with three runs scored as Culican won their 10th game of the season. Manny Barreda allowed three runs on seven hits over 5 2/3 innings, striking out two and walking three.
Caneros de Los Mochis 11, Mayos de Navojoa 2 – Eric Filia, Yasmany Tomas, and Justin Dean each had an RBI double as the Caneros (8-4) took a 4-0 lead in the first and never looked back, walloping Navajos to get into a tie for second place with Hermosillo. Dean went 4-for-5 with the aforementioned double, a grand slam in the sixth, and five RBIs.
Naranjeros de Hermosillo 7, Aguilas de Mexicali 4 – Angel Camacho and Jose Cardona’s RBI singles in the fourth put the Naranjeros ahead, and Camacho provided insurance with a two-run double in the eighth as Hermosillo improved to 8-4.
Algodoneros de Guasave 5, Sultanes de Monterrey 2 – Orlando Pina’s RBI single in the fifth sent Drew Avans home with the go-ahead run, and Guasave (5-7) tacked on two more on Jorge Flores’ one-out single in the sixth. Ricardo Valenzuela drove in Monterrey’s runs with a two-run homer in the fifth.
Venados de Mazatlan 4, Yaquis de Obregon 2 – Carl Edwards Jr. allowed one run on five hits for Obregon, but Zach Willeman allowed three runs on three hits in top of the ninth, and Obregon fell to 5-7.
