Guerreros de Oaxaca (7-2) 19, Olmecas de Tabasco (1-8) 11 – The Guerreros clubbed five homers on their way to a sweep of Tabasco, with Juniel Querecuto hitting a three-run homer in the third and a grand slam in the sixth on his way to an eight-RBI game. Jose Carlos Urena also had a grand slam for Oaxaca in the 10-run third inning. With the loss, Tabasco has the worst record in the league and a five-game losing streak.
Bravos de Leon (7-2) 5, Tigres de Quintana Roo (5-4) 3 – Gabriel Cancel had a pair of RBI doubles as the Bravos kept pace with Oaxaca atop the Zona Sur, improving to 7-2 with a win in the series finale. Luis Medina scored twice for Leon and Jermaine Palacios went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, hitting a two-run double in the fourth.
Sultanes de Monterrey (7-2) 8, Dorados de Chihuahua (5-4) 7 – The Sultanes got eight runs in the first four innings, including solo homers from Ramiro Pena and Josh Lester, and Nolan Kingham allowed three runs on eight hits over seven innings as Monterrey kept a hold of first place in the Zona Norte. The Dorados rallied for four runs late, getting a three-run homer in the ninth from Mark Contreras to pull within one.
Diablos Rojos del Mexico (5-4) 9, Conspiradores de Queretaro (3-6) 4 – Jon Singleton hit his league-leading sixth homer, a sixth-inning grand slam, and Carlos Sepulveda and Robinson Cano each homered for the Diablos as they got back above .500. Five Mexico relievers combined to allow two hits and strike out six over five scoreless innings to hold the lead and get the Diablos the sweep of Queretaro.
Charros de Jalisco (5-4) 7, Caliente de Durango (4-5) 5 – The Charros bullpen allowed four baserunners over 5 1/3 innings as Jalisco got four in the sixth and a come-from-behind victory over Durango. Willie Calhoun went 2-for-3 with a two-run double in the first, and Allen Cordoba went 2-for-3 with a run scored.
Leones de Yucatan (5-4) 3, El Aguila de Veracruz (5-4) 2 (11 Innings) – Henry Ramirez drove home Ronaldo Hernandez in the bottom of the 11th to get Yucatan a series win against Veracruz. The Leones bullpen allowed just three hits over the final 6 1/3 innings, and Estevan Florial went 3-for-5 with a walk and an RBI in the win. Sebastian Elizalde went 3-for-5 for Veracruz.
Toros de Tijuana (6-2) 12, Acereros de Monclova (3-3) 1 – Isaac Rodriguez had a two-run double as the Toros scored five in the first inning, and Hernan Perez hit a three-run homer in the second as Tijuana blew out Monclova on Sunday. Starter Noah Skirrow allowed a run on three hits over five innings, walking one and striking out six for the Toros.
Pericos de Puebla (3-6) 8, Piratas de Campeche (4-5) 3 – Herlis Rodriguez hit a pair of solo homers for Puebla and David Rodriguez had a two-run homer in the eighth as the Pericos pecked the Piratas on Sunday. Danny Ortiz added a two-run double for Puebla. Former Major Leaguer Addison Russell hit a solo homer in the second for Campeche.
Rieleros de Aguascalientes (5-4) 10, Algodoneros de Union Laguna (3-6) 2 – Andretty Cordero went 3-for-4 with a solo homer and four RBIs as the Rieleros romped in the cotton to finish out the series with a win. Ronald Medrano, who pitched for Nicaragua in the World Baseball Classic, threw five innings, allowing a run on three hits for Aguascalientes. Albert Lara hit a solo homer for the Algodoneros.
Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos (5-4) 7, Saraperos de Saltillo (1-7) 3 – The Tecos completed a sweep of Saltillo behind 2-for-4 nights from Zoilo Almonte and Yadiel Hernandez, who homered twice and drove in three runs.
