Tigres de Quintana Roo (6-6) 6, Leones de Yucatan (7-5) 2 – Julio Robaina threw six innings, allowing two runs on four hits, striking out for for Quintana Roo, Troy Viola hit a two-run homer, and Carlos Castro triple home a pair of runs as the Tigres tripled up Yucatan. Veteran Cesar Valdez had a rough start for the Leones, allowing six runs, five of them earned, on seven hits in 2 2/3 innings.
Piratas de Campeche (5-6) 6, Diablos Rojos del Mexico (6-5) 2 – Miller Hogan allowed a run on two hits over five innings for the Piratas, and Connor Hollis went 4-for-5 with a run scored, an RBI, and two doubles as the Piratas took the second game of the series. The Diablos managed just five hits in the game and went 1-for-7 with runners in scoring position, with Carlos Sepulveda getting two singles.
Pericos de Puebla (4-7) 12, Guerreros de Oaxaca (8-3) 11 – Robert Dugger, the Guerreros de Oaxaca’s starter in this slugfest, lasted the longest of any pitcher in this game, going 2 1/3 innings despite allowing eight runs on eight hits and a walk. Puebla got a two-run homer from Herlis Rodriguez, a grand slam from Jose Urena, and a solo homer from Lorenzo Cedrola, and Estamy Urena drove in the go-ahead run with an eighth-inning single as they squeaked by Oaxaca.

Charros de Jalisco (7-4) 7, Dorados de Chihuahua (4-7) 2 – Willie Calhoun went 0-for-3 but still drove in a pair of runs for the Charros, who improved to 7-4 with the win. Johneshwy Fargas’ solo homer in the fifth accounted for Jalisco’s other run, while Chihuahua got a solo homer from Alejandro Mejia in the first and nine strikeouts from starter Devin Smeltzer.
Toros de Tijuana (7-3) 9, Caliente de Durango (5-6) 4 – Junior Lake went 4-for-5 with a homer, two runs scored, and three RBIs, and Phillip Evans went 4-for-4 with a homer, two runs scored, and two RBIs as the Toros scored six runs over the final three innings.
Saraperos de Saltillo (2-8) 2, Algodoneros de Union Laguna (4-7) 0 – Wilmer Font allowed two hits and two walks over six innings, striking out 10 Algodoneros as four Saltillo pitchers combined to shut out Union Laguna and snap the club’s six-game losing streak. Cole Roederer scored on a wild pitch in the third and Alex Mejia’s sac fly in the fourth scored Fernando Villegas.
Rieleros de Aguascalientes (6-5) 7, Acereros de Monclova (5-6) 5 – Andretty Cordero and Angel Reyes each homered for Aguascalientes, which made the most of its nine hits in the game. Monclova starter Wilmer Rios allowed four runs on five hits over 5 1/3 innings and Roberto Hernandez hit a two-run homer for the Acereros.
Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos (6-5) 12, Sultanes de Monterrey (8-3) 6 – Albert Almonte went 3-for-5 with two homers, scored twice, and drove in four runs as the Tecos doubled up Monterrey. Francisco Arcia added a two-run homer, and Harold Ramirez and Yadiel Hernandez each drove in two for Dos Laredos in the romp. Victor Mendoza went 3-for-5 with a homer for Monterrey.
Bravos de Leon (9-2) 11, El Aguila de Veracruz (5-6) 3 – Jimmy Kerrigan went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer, scored twice, and drove in seven as the Bravos improved to 9-2. In addition to the fourth-inning homer, Kerrigan hit a three-run double with the bases loaded in the sixth and doubled home Gaige Howard in the second.

Conspiradores de Queretaro (4-7) 7, Olmecas de Tabasco (2-9) 6 – Henry Urrutia’s two-run double in the eighth got the Conspiradores past Tabasco, and Alan Hanson hit a three-run homer for Queretaro. Former first-round draft pick Seth Beer hit his first LMB homer for Tabasco, a two-run shot in the seventh, and Agustin Ruiz also hit a two-run homer for the Olmecas.
