Little League World Series LIVE Blog: Czech vs Aruba

WILLIAMSPORT, PA –

Czech Republic takes on Aruba in an elimination game from Volunteer Stadium.

Aruba pitcher Henry Kransen fires one low and we’re underway!

Left fielder Dennis Dásek ropes one down the left field line for a single and immediately gets to second on a passed ball.

Kransen works out of trouble to keep the Czech team off the board.

Izaak Martina starts the bottom half with a single to left off Czech starter Stepán Svec.

Martina comes around to score on a series of passed balls. 1-0 Aruba.

Naivmar Angela hit single to right but the runner got thrown out at third trying to advance.

Shortstop Nishant Toledo drives in Angela with a single to center to make the score 2-0.

Svec gets the next batter to hit a ground ball to third baseman Dominik Kliner who makes a great diving grab and throws the runner out at first to end the inning.

2-0 Aruba after one

Kransen works a quick inning, picking up two strikeouts. Still 2-0 Aruba going to the bottom half.

Marek Svehla takes the mound to start the second for Czech.

After a walk, catcher Antoine John Croes rips a single to right-center and Aruba has runners on the corners to start the third.

Aruba third base coach calls for a bunt and Zayron Rafiné lays down a beauty which brings in a run. He advanced to second on the play thanks so some heads-up base running and Aruba now has two runners in scoring position.

An intentional walk is issued to Matthew Rincones after a strikeout to load the bases.

Svehla gets out of the inning thanks to a diving catch by left fielder Dennis Dásek.

3-0 Aruba after two

Kransen picks up another K to start the third, his fourth on the day. Makes quick work of the next two batters and he’s dealing now.

Jayziël Dinmohamed rips a single to right field to start the bottom half of the third and Martina does the same on the next pitch which allows Dinmohamed to get to third. First and third nobody out for Aruba.

After a popout to third, Dimohamed comes in to score via the passed ball which also allows Martina to get to third. 4-0 Aruba with a man on third and one out.

Angela drives Martina in with a rope to left to make the score 5-0 and forces a pitching change for Czech.

No. 8 Tadeáš Klimeš takes the mound for Czech and gets Kransen to ground into a fielder’s choice 6-4 for the second out of the inning.

Toledo then rips his second hit of the day and moves Kransen to third.

Second baseman, Diliano Raven hits a bomb over the center fielders head to score another for Aruba.

The first pitch of the next at bat is another hit to left by third baseman Keon Croes drives in two more. 8-0 Aruba.

A walk to the next batter brings on another pitching change for Czech, Tobias Foret takes the mound.

Czech catcher Robert Vailand throws out the runner trying to steal second and we head to the fourth.

8-0 Aruba after three

Kransen exits the game after a K and a single. He goes 3.1 innings with six strikeouts, allowing two hits and no runs.

No. 7 Jairon Bedoya comes in to take his place.

Bedoya gives up four straight hits surrendering two runs before getting an out via a fly ball to center field. 8-2 Aruba.

A passed ball allows another run to score and Czech is mounting a comeback. 8-3 now.

Bedoya avoids further trouble and gets a strikeout to end the top half of the fourth.

Foret got two quick outs to start the bottom half before surrendering two walks but got out of the inning without any harm done.

8-3 Aruba after four

No. 10 Antoine John Croes starts the fifth on the mound for Aruba and strikes out the first batter he faces.

Croes works a clean inning and keeps Czech off the board.

Foret works around an error and holds Aruba in check. We head to the sixth.

8-3 Aruba after five

Mario Masia starts the top of the sixth off with a single to left and Czech has their leadoff runner on, needing five runs to tie.

Croes gets the next batter to hit into a fielders choice, Aruba is two outs away from avoiding elimination.

Aruba makes a pitching change with two outs in the sixth, No. 4 Keon Croes takes the mound looking to close the door.

Croes gets the next batter and Aruba wins.

FINAL: 8-3 Aruba
