Manny Ramírez—regarded as one of the greatest hitters in Major League Baseball history—headlined an exhibition series in Seoul, Korea.

The showcase, organized by Legend United, featured former MLB stars alongside players from the KBO and NPB.

Over a 19‑year MLB career, Ramírez compiled a staggering résumé: 555 home runs, 1,831 RBI, and a slash line of .312/.411/.585 across 8,244 at‑bats, culminating in a career .996 OPS. His endorsement of this event is expected to elevate its profile dramatically.

Former infielder Luis Alicea joined him in Seoul. A Puerto Rico native, Alicea enjoyed 13 MLB seasons—debuting with the St. Louis Cardinals in 1988 and closing his career with the Kansas City Royals in 2002. On May 12, Ramírez and Alicea will visit Gocheok Sky Dome for a joint press conference and formal agreement signing with the Korea Pro Baseball Alumni Association.

Organizers anticipate staging the games this November or December, spanning venues in Korea and Japan. Among the more than 50 former MLB players expressing interest is Miguel Tejada, a Dominican shortstop and third baseman who racked up 307 homers, 1,302 RBI, and a .285/.336/.456 slash line over 8,434 at‑bats in a 16‑year career—primarily with the Oakland Athletics and Baltimore Orioles.

Adding star power from the coaching ranks, Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith—often lauded as the greatest defensive shortstop ever—will lend his expertise. A 15‑time All‑Star and 13‑time Gold Glove winner, Smith spent 19 seasons (1982–1996) with the Cardinals and was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2002.
