On Tuesday, a 4-2 win over the Oregon Ducks made it five wins in a row for the Grand Canyon Antelopes.
Along with this midweek win, they are coming off a weekend where they swept the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Before that, they beat Pepperdine a week ago in a midweek matchup.
As it stands, Grand Canyon is 12-4 overall and is the number one ranked team in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).
These recent wins over Oregon and Texas Tech are not the only impressive wins the Antelopes have this season. They also defeated Nebraska this year, a team that started the season ranked in D1 Baseball’s top 25.
Grand Canyon also has series wins over Rutgers and Texas State. The series win over Texas State is a good look for the Antelopes’ resume.
Keep in mind, the Bobcats have had some major upset wins over teams like Texas A&M and Oklahoma State this season.
The Antelopes will look to make it six wins in a row on Wednesday, Mar. 12. They will remain on the road to face off against the Oregon Ducks again for the second round of back-to-back games during the midweek.
The first pitch for Wednesday’s matchup at PK Park is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST.
