The Milwaukee Brewers have announced they will hold an Alumni Legends Game on Friday, July 24, following their matchup against the Colorado Rockies.
Fans who stick around for the alumni game can expect to see outfielder Ryan Braun, third baseman Mike Moustakas, starting pitchers Yovani Gallardo and Ben Sheets, and many more well-known former Brewers players, according to an announcement from the National League Central club.
Catcher Jonathan Lucroy, who is also slated to participate in the game, is one of 120 players in Major League history to suit up for both the Brewers and Rockies, so remember that one, all you daily Immaculate Grid players.
Braun is Milwaukee’s all-time home run leader with 352. Gallardo’s 1,226 strikeouts are the most among any pitcher in franchise history.
Throughout the season, the Brewers are celebrating American Family Field’s 25th anniversary. The stadium was known as Miller Park from 2001 through the end of the 2020 season.
The team’s announcement states that fans who purchase tickets to the game will be able to buy $2.50 draft beers and brats until first pitch. VIP ticket purchasers will have an opportunity to take a picture with an alum.
The event may not feature as much star power as the New York Yankees Old-Timers’ Day, but Brewers fans will have the unique opportunity to see some of their favorite players on the field once more.
