Independent baseball is headed for one of its biggest national stages yet.
For the first time, MLB Network will air the American Association of Professional Baseball All-Star Game live, a landmark moment for one of Major League Baseball’s official Partner Leagues. The 2026 American Association All-Star Game is set for Wednesday, July 15, at Haymarket Park in Lincoln, Nebraska, with first pitch scheduled for 8:30 p.m. EST.
The broadcast marks the first time MLB Network has televised the All-Star Game of an MLB Partner League, giving the American Association and its players a new level of national exposure.
The American Association is one of MLB’s official Partner Leagues, alongside the Atlantic League, Frontier League and Pioneer League. Since entering that partnership, the league has worked with MLB on initiatives aimed at growing the game, including development opportunities and programs designed to expand player and coaching pathways.
The relationship has also strengthened the league’s role as a proving ground for professional talent. With MLB organizations maintaining direct access to evaluate players, the American Association has continued to serve as a path for players seeking opportunities in affiliated baseball and beyond.
“This partnership reflects the increasing demand for American Association baseball and our commitment to bringing fans closer to the game,” Commissioner Joshua Schaub said.
The MLB Network telecast is part of a broader media expansion for the American Association in 2026. Beyond its national All-Star Game broadcast, the league has widened its television and digital footprint through distribution agreements with NBC Regional Sports Networks, NESN, Marquee Sports Network and Bally Sports Live, extending American Association baseball to millions of viewers across North America.
For the American Association, the July 15 All-Star Game is more than a showcase event. It is a milestone that places independent professional baseball on a bigger stage than ever before.
